AANI is committed to making our website and services accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and continually improve accessibility across our site.
We design pages to include semantic headings, ARIA landmarks where appropriate, keyboard navigability, readable contrast, and responsive layouts. This statement covers the main public site and member admin areas; third-party services (event platforms, payment pages) may have their own accessibility practices.
Some older documents or member-uploaded files (e.g., PDFs) may not fully comply with accessibility standards. We are working to remediate or provide accessible alternatives where feasible.
Where we link to or embed third-party services (ticketing, payments, analytics), those services may have different accessibility levels. We seek vendors that prioritize accessibility and include accessibility requirements in procurement.
If you encounter accessibility barriers, please use the website contact form or contact your chapter leadership and include the page URL, a description of the problem, your preferred contact method, and any assistive technology you use. We will acknowledge reports within 5 business days and provide an estimated timeline for remediation or a workaround.
We regularly test pages with automated tools and manual checks, train content editors on accessible authoring, and update our templates to improve accessibility.
Contact: Use the website contact form or your chapter leadership to report accessibility issues or request assistance.
