The President of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, on behalf of the National Executive Committee and the entire AANI family, warmly congratulates, Barr. Gandi Umar Muhammad, mni (SEC 29, 2007), on his conferment with the prestigious traditional title of Sarkin Galman Sarkin Musulmi by His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar CFR, mni, the Sultan of Sokoto, on Tuesday, 15th July, 2026.
This noble conferment, approved by the Sultanate Council, Sokoto, in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the development of the Muslim Ummah, Sokoto State, Nigeria, and humanity in general, is a deeply deserved honour for a man whose life and service have consistently reflected integrity, dedication, and selfless commitment to his community and nation.
Barr. Muhammad has served Sokoto state and the nation with distinction, most recently as Secretary of the Sokoto State Civil Service Recruitment Committee, overseeing a transparent and merit-based mass recruitment exercise on behalf of the Sokoto State Government.
The AANI family celebrat this deserving honour and prays that Almighty God grants him the wisdom, strength, and grace to carry this noble title with distinction, and that his new role as Sarkin Galman Sarkin Musulmi brings even greater blessings to his community, the Muslim Ummah and the nation at large.
