President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced that more infrastructure and urban renewal projects are on the horizon. He made the statement during the inauguration of roads B6, B12, and Circle Road in Abuja's Central Area District.
Tinubu reiterated his administration's dedication to enhancing infrastructure and rejuvenating urban spaces, emphasizing their importance in shaping a more prosperous and interconnected Nigeria.
Roads B6 (Constitution Avenue) and B12 (Independence Avenue), situated in the heart of Abuja, link the three-arms zone, cultural and diplomatic sectors, ministries, state liaison offices, and corporate and commercial establishments.
Tinubu anticipates that these projects will alleviate traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and foster seamless connectivity within the capital.
Represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Tinubu emphasized the role of infrastructure in driving economic growth and social integration, pledging to continue investing in roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure to stimulate the economy and improve citizens' quality of life. Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike praised Tinubu's leadership, attributing the successful completion of the projects to his vision and commitment.
The minister highlighted Tinubu's directive to prioritize the completion of ongoing projects before initiating new ones, reflecting effective leadership and a dedication to excellence. FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, and Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Shehu Hadi, also commended Tinubu's leadership and expressed gratitude for his support in driving progress and achieving developmental milestones in the Federal Capital Territory.
